Square QR codes that bring you sales
Counter card, table tent, market stall, shop window. Customers scan, land on your Square checkout, and you see which placement made the sale, not just that someone scanned.

How to make a Square QR code for a checkout link
A Square QR code turns a Square checkout link into something customers can scan and pay on the spot. In your Square Dashboard, open Online, choose Checkout links, and copy the square.link URL, or use your Square Online store, an invoice or a Square Appointments booking page instead. Paste it above and Scanlo generates a tracked Square QR code you can print. Every scan is logged per placement, so you see which spot actually makes the sale.
How it works
- 1
Paste your Square checkout link and generate a tracked QR code.
- 2
Download it as PNG, SVG or PDF and put it on counters, table tents or your stall.
- 3
Or paste the Scanlo snippet to show the same code live on your website, next to your product list for example.
- 4
Every scan routes through Scanlo to your Square checkout and is logged.
- 5
Compare scans per placement to learn which spot actually makes the sale.
Questions
- Which Square links work with this?
- Any public Square URL: a Checkout link (square.link), your Square Online store or a single product page, a Square invoice link, or a Square Appointments booking page.
- Does Scanlo touch the payment?
- No. The code redirects to your Square link. The checkout, the money and the receipt stay 100% in Square. Scanlo only counts the scan.
- Can I change the amount or product later?
- Yes, either edit the checkout link in Square, or point the Scanlo code at a different link. Printed codes update instantly, no reprinting.
- Can I run one code per stall or table?
- Yes, and that is the point. Create a code per placement, label it, and compare scans side by side. Placement comparison is part of the Standard plan.
- Can I put my Square QR code on my website?
- Yes. Paste the Scanlo snippet into your site and the same tracked code shows up live. On a computer people scan it with their phone, on a phone they tap it, and both land on your Square checkout. Your dashboard splits website taps from printed scans, on every plan.
- Is the Square QR code free?
- Yes. The Free plan includes 2 tracked codes forever, with scan totals and 30-day history. No card required.
- Does the code keep working if I stop paying for Scanlo?
- Always. A printed Scanlo code keeps redirecting forever, on any plan. We never disable a printed code.
